How to prepare your skin for winter

With the cooler months quickly approaching, our skin is about to be put through some serious drying times. How to deal with chapping, flaking and cracking skin? Here to save the day is your updated winter skincare routine, that'll have you feeling confident this winter.

1. Deep cleanse
This SUPERSTART Probiotic Cleanser Whip-to-Clay from Elizabeth Arden is my absolute favourite for a thorough cleaning. The best part is, unlike other regular cleansers, this one transforms from mousse into a mineral-rich clay to infuse skin with probiotics to support natural defenses. Add water and it turns into a soft cleanser that you can lather into the skin and rinse away all your makeup and impurities.

2. Upgrade your moisturizer
Opt for a rich moisturizer that is loaded with hydrating and healing properties in the colder months. My current favorite is Elizabeth Arden PREVAGE Anti-Aging Moisture Cream Broad Spectrum SunScreen SPF30. First of all, I love the modified dispenser. So GENIUS! This cream is just perfect for day use with SPF30. It absorbs so quickly and not greasy at all. My skin is hydrated throughout the day. It also gives my skin a subtle glow which I really like.

My night cream is Elizabeth Arden PREVAGE Anti-Aging Overnight Cream. Excellent product to use while you sleep! I use it on my face, neck and décolleté. It really helps my skin recover during the night by continuously replenishing the skin's moisture. By the next day I wake up with supple, lifted skin.

3. Use Serum
This is very important! It's key to use a serum before your face cream in the winter. This PREVAGE Anti-Aging Daily Serum is a MUST in your winter skincare routine. It helps maintain healthy skin while fights the first sign of aging - one of my favourite anti-aging serum. It is fortified with Idebenone - the most powerful antioxidant available today.  It definitely helps to minimize my fine lines.

4. Multi-Use Product
I love using the iconic Eight Hour Cream to spot treat any dry areas. This award-wining cult classic is the ultimate all-in-one beauty balm. You can use it to hydrate your nails and cuticles, calm irritation, soothe your lips and hands, add shine to your cheeks and even tame your hair and eyebrows. It moisturizes and protects your skin from head to toe!

And how cute is the Love Heals x Eight Hour Limited-Edition Collection! Celebrating the healing power of love for its 88th anniversary, Elizabeth Arden did a collaboration with muralist J. Goldcrown on this limited-edition packaging. I adore the colourful heart design. It makes me so happy every time I use it.

5. Mask
I mask twice a week during winter. Winter is the time to reverse damage caused by all of those beach days. So, we need LOTS of hydration! My current favourite mask is the SUPERSTART Probiotic Boost Skin Renewal Biocellulose Mask. I love that it has a cooling effect, as well as 2x the probiotic blend featured in the Skin Renewal Boost. My skin feels so good afterwards, so plump and hydrated - just flawless!

Now get ready to combat the winter weather with your new winter skincare routine!

Stay chic,
xx
